What is sourdough focaccia?
PRuK’s caramelized onion sourdough focaccia is a traditional Italian flatbread topped with caramelized onion, rosemary, and coarse see salt. Focaccia is often served warm alongside pasta to mop up sauces. However, it is a versatile bread that can also be served with soup or salad, or used to make delicious sandwiches. PRuK’s focaccia is versatile and benefits from the unique light twang of sourdough. Like our classic, multi-seed, walnut cranberry and turmeric sourdough country loaves, we make our sourdough focaccia from only three ingredients: flour, water, and salt; and it benefits from the health-inducing and flavor-enhancing long fermentation times.
PRuK prides itself on making real, healthful bread! Most of our sourdough products contain a minimum of 20% fresh-milled wholegrain flour, and we will never use additives, preservatives or commercial yeast.

Enjoy the taste and aroma of our classic made with homegrown fresh rosemary and coarse sea salt.
Or, top your focaccia with black olives to give your bread a sweet and salty kick.
Caramelized Onion
Or add sweet caramelized onions on top of a delightfully fluffy flatbread… What more is there to say?
Not bread you are looking for?
We also offer both sweet and salty treats in the form of our brown butter chocolate chip cookies or sourdough crackers.
To enjoy focaccia at its best, we suggest that you refresh it in the oven before eating (350 Fahrenheit for 10 minutes) because this will ensure a crispy crust and fluffy interior.
If you plan on storing your focaccia, please seen our detailed suggestions in the focaccia section of our bread care page.
PRuK’s reusable cloth breadvelopes are excellent for storing your sourdough focaccia as well as your country and sandwich bread. Place your loaf cut-side down inside the breadvelope on a wooden chopping board to store the bread for up to 2 days.
However, if you need to store the focaccia longer, we recommend freezing it. Cut the bread into individual portions and freeze a few pieces together by wrapping with shrink wrap or adding to zip lock bags. You can refresh the bread from frozen at 350 Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
